I want to tell you about two apps I am totally crushing on right now. So much so, that I might have to delete them from my phone before I go broke.

thredUP is essentially a huge, searchable consignment store online.

The greatest things about it are:

1- It’s good quality clothing and accessories..

2- At consignment prices…

3- In trendy styles and name brands.

4- And it’s searchable! You can search Nike and put in your size and it shows you pages of options. That’s something you definitely do not get at a consignment or thrift store.

I got all of this (above) for $42.55. I should mention that included a 40% discount because it was my first order, which is another great thing! But just check out these prices (below). And all this clothing is like new quality. And one item was in fact brand new with tags.

Hello Kitty Tank Top Small youth

Gymboree Flat 12 Kids

Old Navy Fleece Pant 10 (New With Tags)

Ann Taylor LOFT Outlet Casual Dress 12

Active by Old Navy Active Tank XL

Champion Pullover Hoodie Lg

And it all comes packaged in a super nice and cute way.

Who wouldn’t want to get a cute box like this on their doorstep?

And inside the box the items are all lovingly wrapped in tissue paper and bubble wrap with cute little notes.

But Thredup doesn’t stop there. They also help you clean out your closet and make a little money too.

They send you this package with a ginormous bag inside with a mailing label already on it and instructions on what womens and kids clothing and accessories they will accept. Everything has to be:

1- In excellent condition

2- On-trend and in-season

3- A top name brand

You put it all in this massive bag and just drop it off at the post office.

You’ll get paid for what they take, either in website credit or a Paypal payout. Or you can donate it to charity through the website. The items they don’t accept will be recycled unless you pay to have them returned to you.

Poshmark is sort of like Ebay because you can buy and sell name brand items. It’s also a little like Facebook with the ability to follow people’s “closets” and like, share and comment on items.

The things I like most about it are:

1-The high-end brand names. It’s easy to search for Kate Spade or Nike items in your specific size.

2- The ease of communicating with sellers. I have often asked questions about the size or quality of an item and gotten responses quickly.

I snagged this awesome, Kate Spade bag for a steal of a price. It’s in great shape and has tons of room.

I also found this adorable Betsey Johnson purse. It was a gift for my niece’s birthday in a week so I used the easy communication method to make sure the seller could get it to me in time. She was really receptive to my needs and rushed the item to me in just a few days.

New apps are being created every day.. can’t wait to see what’s next!

And I’ll make sure to share them with you!
