If you follow me you know I’m a runner and I’m a big fan of free and frugal fitness tools. You can check out my other post on: Frugal Fitness- How To Get Fit For A Few Dollars Or Free for some suggestions on apps, videos and resources.
And while working to get fit, you need the proper workout gear so you can be comfortable and motivated. I don’t know about you, but when I have a new workout outfit it helps to motivate me to get my butt out the door and run. Because I look good. Who wants to keep that a secret. 😉
But workout clothes have to be affordable. I’m sure Lululemon workout gear is probably the best ever. I mean, for those prices, it must automatically burn calories right? If I need a second mortgage to afford it, automatic calorie burning or not, I’m going to have to pass unless I can find it super cheap at a thrift or consignment store.
So here’s a breakdown of some frugal workout gear to get you started. (more…)
Spring is such a happy time, it’s like a breath of fresh air after a long, cold winter. At least it was cold if you live North of me. 🙂 That’s why spring cleaning is a thing. It’s a time for people to declutter, redecorate and start fresh.

As hard as I try, I can’t get my kids to stop growing. I tried to get them both to stay around 3 years old (what a great age) but I couldn’t. They’re growing at such a rapid pace, my son grew from a child size 12 shoe to a big kid size 3 shoe overnight. Literally overnight. Keeping them in clothes that fit is a near constant struggle. So I often turn to thrift and consignment for good quality clothes that I can afford. And if I find a gem or two for me along the way.. yay!
And my new favorite way to shop gently loved clothes at a great price is a website called Schoola. Because I get great clothes AND make money for local schools!
It’s the ultimate win-win.
I know, I know.. every mom blogger posts about their trip to DisneyWorld or DisneyLand right? Well never fear, for mine will be the best one ever! No, probably not. But what I can offer you is a cheapskates guide to surviving Disney without needing a second mortgage on your house. (more…)
I know it seems like it may never happen. But sooner or later the stars will align long enough for you to get a babysitter and escape your house with only adults.
Don’t let money hold you back. Date night doesn’t need to be expensive. Here’s how.. (more…)
