Part of being frugal is being smart.
And one of the smartest things you can do with your spending is to get some of your money back.
In fact, if you’re not taking advantage of rebates, you’re basically throwing money away.
And the very best app for travel and dining is Dosh.
You can also use it to shop at tons of online stores.
I am a Dosh affiliate and received compensation for this post. The links in this post are affiliate links and I receive a small commission if you use them to join the program. All opinions are authentic and my own. If I tell you about a product or service, it’s because I use it and believe in it. As I do Dosh.
Why it’s the bestDosh is the #1 shopping app & the #10 app in the iTunes store.Click To Tweet
1. It’s the easiest cash back app you’ll ever use.
I’m going to make a confession. Although I think grocery shopping apps like Ibotta and SavingStar are great, I stopped using them a long time ago, for a couple of reasons. They’re tied to major brand products that I rarely, if ever, buy. And you have to do a lot of work to get a little rebate, like scanning receipts and product barcodes. I’ve tried many rebate apps like that and haven’t stuck with them.
With Dosh, you link your credit and debit cards to the app and whenever you use those cards at a participating business, you automatically get the rebate.

And I can’t overstate what I truly mean by automatic. Once my family and I were at a restaurant and I hadn’t even noticed that my husband had paid the bill until I got an alert on my phone that I got Dosh back. No joke.
It literally couldn’t be easier.
2. It’s easy to get real cash in your hand.
This isn’t imaginary money that stays in an app or has to be used on items in the app and never really materializes into real money or takes a long time to accrue. It’s easy to drop your Dosh right into your bank account, or a Paypal account, or you can even give it to charity.
3. Sharing is caring… and it means more money in your wallet
Dosh practically looks for reasons to give you money.
Each time you link a new card, you get $1.
Each time you refer a friend who gets the Dosh app and gets Dosh back, you get $5.
Each time you share Dosh on social media you get $5.

And Dosh often runs promotions that give you a whopping $15 for each referral, when that person links their first card.
So go ahead and show off what a frugal, savvy shopper you are and get rewarded for it.
Why you should never travel without it
Most of the time I use Dosh for dining out. There are some great local restaurants that participate and Denny’s is a family favorite. We often go there for a hearty brunch after races. Annnnd the 10% Dosh we get back is pretty nice too.
But the real money kicks in when you travel with Dosh. And here’s why it’s so easy and smart.
1. You can book your hotel stay right through the Dosh app
You don’t need to use different apps and websites to get a good deal, then link it to Dosh to get the cash back. Because they have discounted prices right in the app. Just search for hotels through the app, book the discounted room rate and when you check out, the Dosh is dropped into our wallet.
2. They take care of you
If you have any problems with the reservation, Dosh representatives will have your back. I needed help when I accidentally booked a room for the wrong date. (I know, right?!) They got it taken care of, moved my reservation and I still got my Dosh right after enjoying my stay and checking out.
3. You can see significant cash back
I love getting Dosh back when we dine out and when you do it often, it can add up. But look at how much that grows when you use it on a hotel stay.
Brunch at Denny’s for a family of 4-
Total bill $32.76
Dosh back $2.88
A 4-star hotel room for 3 nights in Miami for a family of 4-
Total bill $1,059.31
Dosh back $286.87
I know lots of people who rack up serious cash back by traveling with Dosh. So much money adds up, that they can use it to pay for future travel.
It’s not just for dining and travel
Dosh is also continually adding major store chains where you can shop in-store like Sam’s Club, Hallmark, Forever 21 and World Market.
And online shopping opportunities like Target, Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Gap, Old Navy, Kohls, Patagonia, and Hollister.
