I love to make gifts for friends and family each Christmas. Not only are they beautiful, they’re a love letter from me to them because I put a lot of work into them.
The gifts are also personalized, in a way that no gift from a store could be.
One of my favorite gifts to make are Christmas tree ornaments. These fabric ornaments are super easy to make and don’t take very many materials.

#1 Material
Start with holiday fabric in any color and design you like. I used this red and black buffalo plaid fabric.
#2 Apply design
Apply your design on the fabric. I cut my designs on heat transfer vinyl with my Cricut and used a heat press to adhere the design, just as you would do with a t-shirt.

#3 Stretch
Stretch the fabric with the design inside small wooden embroidery hoops. I used some from Michaels. There are also good options on Amazon.
#4 Cut
Cut the fabric around the hoop. I cut mine close to the hoop so it would not show on the outside. But it also looks good if you leave some excess fabric around the edges. I depends on how polished you want the final look to be.

#5 Hang
Add some jute string or ribbon to hang the ornament.
