Life is hectic. And moms’ lives can be a downright circus. But one thing that can contain and manage some of that crazy is planning.
I’ve been meal planning for years and frankly couldn’t get by without it. It’s a life saver for my time, my budget and my sanity. Read my tips to effective meal planning and meal prep here.
Budgeting is something I couldn’t live without either. Since I left my corporate career, became a SAHM and went from two salaries to one, I’ve learned to tighten the belt. A lot. And planning our one paycheck down to the penny is crucial.
All of these led me to create this printable resource packet. For me and for you.

How to get the most out of the 20-page Plan Like A Mother! printable bundle
I spent months creating this bundle. I tweaked it dozens of times to make it fit into my lifestyle, then I tweaked it dozens of more times to help it fit into yours, whatever your life and planning style may be.
So I’m confident when I tell you how to get the most of this bundle, because I use it every day and couldn’t live without it.
The whole purpose is for it to be easily accessible and relatable to your life. And above all else, save you time, money and sanity along the way.
Suggested Tools:
- A Binder, preferably a pretty one that you’ll like looking at all the time.
- 6 Dividers
- 3 Hole Puncher
How to use it:
- Print several copies of the pages you’ll use each week including the meal plan worksheets, shopping lists, budget tracker and calendar pages.
If you make yourself print them each week, guess what? You won’t actually do it. If you print a bunch of copies all at once you’re more likely to keep using them and stay on track.
- Keep the binder out where you can see it and refer to it often.
The best place to have it is out on the countertop or desk where you can easily see it and use it all the time.
- Make it fun, add stickers and doodles if you like.
- Take it with you when you go to the grocery store.
Either take the whole binder or pull out your shopping list page and take that with you.
If you take only your shopping list I would suggest you put it back into the binder when you’re done with it. I like to refer back to previous weeks’ meal plans and shopping lists if I need inspiration. Sometimes you can even duplicate a past meal plan. Hey, we’re not reinventing the wheel, we’re just feeding our families. And if a plan worked before, it will work again.
